In my day job as a travel writer, I’m on the road a lot doing interviews and sampling comfort food. (I know right? It’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it.) In the offseason, I can often be found with a paintbrush in my hand trying to capture the pleasure of seeing form and light come together in an unexpectedly cheerful way.
